Clarification on Royce White's eligibility

This is what I am now being told as far as Royce White's eligibility.

It is all or nothing next year as far as White's eligibility goes. Iowa State will make an appeal to the NCAA to have him eligible for the entire season. If it doesn't work, White will have to sit out all season.

There is no chance that he'd be able to play starting in the second semester.

If the NCAA holds true to form in other words you are saying that there is no chance he plays at all this year.

I don't know the specifics of Royce's situation yet to know if it would be a "screw job." I just know Iowa State's history with the NCAA and it isn't pleasant.

I don't know if I'd consider it screwing over ISU. There is a reason he wasn't playing this past season, and it wasn't a good one.

The sad thing is the last few times ISU has asked for an exception were completely legitimate and reasonable requests. NCAA still handed out not help.

Screw over was probably the wrong phrase to use.

Maybe they should put a Jayhawk or Tar Heel stamp on the envelope to throw the NCAA off a little. Don't those symbols = expediated service to the

pile?

Either way he has 4 yrs of eligibility remaining right?

If the NCAA was truly "looking out for the best ineterest of the student athlete" as they like to pretend, he'll be playing this year. Their decision would differ greatly if he was at Duke or UNC because then it would depend on how much money they stand to make off him. Don't have that at ISU.
