So if he wins 3 or 4 games, he is as good as Million Dollar McD?
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style.

That is yet to be seen. Every other assistant coach on campus has taken a pay CUT over the last two years including some who have performed at a VERY high level. He is an opportunist and took advantage of the McD Situation to cash in.

See the newest crop of players on campus? He's doing his job, and doing it well.

I guess there are two possible responses that fit here:
    1) the recruits he's brought in with Hoiberg at the helm is impressive. He's earning his keep right there.

    2) What's wrong with being an opportunist? If a raise falls in my lap just for doing the job I'm already doing, but with an easier coach to recruit for, why would I not take it? It would be stupid not to.

    A. I didn't realize this was exclusively of his doing.

    and

    B. I'll wait to pass judgment until I see them suit up for the Cyclones against Big 12 caliber competition.

I cheer for two teams, Iowa State and whoever is playing the hawkeyes.

Item VI.3 is interesting...I wonder if that is standard language or something Hoiberg demanded.

I cheer for two teams, Iowa State and whoever is playing the hawkeyes.

    I love contract wording:
"the Big 12 Conference or its successor conference"
"the Big 12 Conference (or other applicable conference)"

Wait a minute...this contract says Fred is actually expected to coach? I thought he was just a figurehead and the assistants were to do the coaching? (that was sarcasm)

    Really?

Give me some examples of FB, WBB, VB. Wrestling or MBB staff who have taken a pay cut.
