Pi is really odd. Aronofsky is interesting. He did Pi and Requiem for a Dream then something totally different in The Wrestler.
    Loved Memento.

You nailed it. I don't think he's a misunderstood genius or anything. He's just bat **** crazy. You can't make sense of anything he does because he's so crazy. I do like his movies though, and Twin Peaks.

The scary thing is, he doesn't just do things the way he does to be crazy for crazy's sake. It makes perfect sense in his mind and to him it seems sane. That's scary.

Try watching Toy Story 2 sometime. A strange mix of sexual tension, violence, repressed memories and sadomasochism intertwined into a plot line that takes you everywhere and nowhere. Strange, indeed.

    That's true. Couple of examples:

-The scene in Lost Highway when Bill Pullman is at the party talking to Robert Blake, and Blake tells him to call home.

-Anything that takes place in the Black Lodge in Twin Peaks

-The "DON'T LOOK AT ME!" scene in Blue Velvet.

So strange. Love his work, though.
"What a horrible night to have a curse."
    -Simon Belmont

"Please bury me with all my stuff, because you know it's mine..."
    -Master Shake

"Passersby were amazed by the unusually large amounts of blood."

I wanted to go meet David Lynch, but he was speaking in Vedic City. Rumor has it once you go in, you never come out and will end up being a flower thief for the rest of your pathetic existence.

I thought Mulholland Dr was great until like the last 20 minutes. It make the first couple hours, which I thought were very good, basically pointless. But that's Lynch for you.
