Computer Help Wanted
I'm not much of a computer expert, so I was hoping someone could help. I currently have two desktops and am planning to give one to my sister because I'm planning to purchase a laptop. A quick note, she's even more clueless than me when it comes to these sorts of things, so I thought I'd help her out.
Our downstairs desktop uses high speed Internet through Qwest, and has a Qwest wireless router. Our upstairs desktop uses a Netgear adapter to pick up the signal.
My sister will be getting the upstairs computer, and currently has Mediacom high speed Internet at her place, with a wireless router.
My question is, what will she need in order to get up and running on the Internet once she has my desktop? Will the Netgear adapter work with her Mediacom router? Will she need a new adapter? Will she need to call Mediacom for anything?
Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Computer Help Wanted
Should be fine. She will just need to connect to the access point and type in the security key if you have one. If you are direct connecting the pc to the router, it should auto ip it and be off and running.

Re: Computer Help Wanted
The Netgear adapter won't be any problem. I use one on my desktop everyday.
