Fox 28 in CR outsources their news to CBS 2 in CR, but at least they're in the same town.
The good old days of local news are long gone...sad! TV stations/newspapers being gobbled up by distant corporations that own the station with an eye only on the bottom line is to blame! The CR Gazette used to have great local news and local sports...now you can hardly find anything in the paper that isn't in USA Today (not using that as an example of a great paper either)!

That explains why I didn't recognize the set or any of the newscasters when flipping channels last week. I thought it was odd that they'd replace the whole staff and get an entirely new studio.

I agree, there's such a big difference between someone just reading you the news and hearing it from people who are actually involved with it.
Plus we lose the opportunity for such memorable catch phrases as "Boom goes the Dynamite"
