itunes genius help

every time i try and turn on genius it won't work. i type in my username and password (which has recently been reset and i have used it with itunes store) and it automatically takes me to a page that says "update payment information." everything is accurate i have checked and retyped multiple times. i click "done" and it says "your request is temporarily unable to be processed. Please try again later." there is only one button to click which says "ok" and no help options offered.

this is "later." i have been trying to access genius for about 6th months (off and on) and have never once been able to turn it on.

is there something i am not doing right? clearly i am not a genius because everyone else in the world seems to be able to turn it on just fine

i have the newest version of itunes. i use a mac.

Did you turn it on?

Go to "store" and make sure it is on.

i assume by "store" you mean "itunes store?" where is there a button in the itunes store to turn on genius?

when i am in my music library there is a button on the bottom right which i cannot click on. i believe this is the normal button to turn genius on. however it is not highlighted so i can't click on it. the "ping" button however is eligible for toggling.

Like most programs, when you open it , you get a list on the top of the screen. Usually in the order of file, edit, view, etc etc. In itunes, Store is an option. You can go here to turn on genius.

wow i feel D.U.M. dumb. i do vaguely remember doing this months ago and encountering the same problem though. it must work now because i recently reset my username and password.
