I have to agree with this. Wherever you choose to go, make sure you get out of your hotel room and make some memories. My wife and I went to Riviera Maya for our honeymoon. Neither of us will forget our trips to Chichen Itza (one of the major Mayan ruins sites) and Isla Mujeres, where my wife got to live her lifelong dream of swimming with dolphins and I got to zip-line around the island.

Mackinac Island isn't bad, if you don't mind all the horse manure, and really like fudge.

Wow I am in the same spot. Mid of June next year. We are looking at Riveria Maya, but there are some definite other options, mostly becuase I dont feel like getting kidnapped by pirates.

Lot of good "all-inclusive" options on the Riviera Maya. I'm partial to the Iberostar Paraiso del Mar, but then again, that's because that was the one we went to. As far as being kidnapped by pirates, I'm pretty sure you're safe in the Yucatan Peninsula. The majority of the problems are on the US/Mexico border.

Cabo. Were going there in December. Little pricey, but i have heard (and read) nothing but good things.

Spent a week there and it is great. Don't just eat and drink at your hotel get out and hit up the town. We didn't do all inclusive because I like to get out and sample all that the area has to offer not just sit and gorge myself at the hotel, plus we ended up spending less than half of what it would of cost doing all inclusive and we went all out too.

I recommend the marina area for great bars and little restaurants. it's more of a place where the fishing guides etc hang out and not just a big tourist area. My favorite place was called the Baja Cantina, great drinks and when we were there they had dollar appetizers for happy hour.

    Can't wait to go back.

You must make a lot more money than I do.

$37,500 a day for up to 12 people with a minimum 4 night stay.

If it is less than that, please tell me, because I would love to go.
