Last Day as a 20 something
Before I begin I'm a person that after your 21st birthday that most B-day's in the future become just another day. However tomorrow I leave the 20's behind as I will turn 30. I know that this is life you get older, but not sure how to feel about this milestone. Curious on others who have reached this age felt, and how did you celebrate? I hope 30's are as good as the 20's. Already got the best present ever from the FB team. Going out Friday to really celebrate and then Sat. going to the Jack to watch us beat the Jayhawks.

Re: Last Day as a 20 something
Happy Bday and Best Wishes! I'll be joining the 30 club in April too....
One of the positives of growing older is that all of your friends grow older with you - nobody escapes father time (except those extraterrestrials on "The Event" of course).

I realized there are a ton of things I am looking forward to in my 30's and 40's. My buddies stole me away from work on the Friday before my B-day and took me out for an afternoon of golf at the Harvester. When we got back to town all of their wives and more friends and family were at the house for a surprise party. Great weekend and not upset at all to be "in my 30's" now.

Re: Last Day as a 20 something
I'm 29, but I have no qualms whatsoever about turning 30. Most people who meet me think I'm younger than I am. I'll start feeling old when they think I'm older than I am. There are still so many things I am looking forward to in the future I don't fear it at all.
Of course I never get why people make a big deal out of age. I work with guys in their 60s who are way more fun than some folks in their 20s and I'd rather be old and cool than young and lame.

Re: Last Day as a 20 something
I went skiing for a week in Colorado. You're right, after 21, who cares. What's the next milestone, qualifying for social security?

But I just turned 21 in March so I have nothing to look forward too.....except maybe getting cleaned by some hot nurse.

Re: Last Day as a 20 something
It feels okay, but that little nagging tick tock, tick tock, gets a bit louder.
nevermore
