Counterfeit tickets at Nebraska game

My friend bought a ticket from a scalper for his girl friend and gave $40 for it. She goes to sit in her seat and another lady was sitting in her supposedly reserved seat. She politely tells the lady that she is sitting in her seat, the lady responds that she sits in this seat every game since she is a season ticket holder. The two ladies compared tickets and both tickets were for the same seat but one was counterfeit. You could not tell the difference, front or back on the tickets were identical, the perforation was identical. I was wondering if anyone else has had the same experience?

This has been an issue all season, since they lost their laser scanners in the flood. During the ISU/Utah game, about 6 Utah fans sat behind us and bragged how they bought one actual ticket and scanned it 6 times to get everyone into the game.

I heard from a few others, this was an issue was well. It could be solved by simply adding a hologram to the actual game tickets to thwart the people that are scanning/copying the tickets.

Happened right next to us also. Two people showed up to sit in seats that were already occupied by season ticket holders. They compared tickets and they were the same seats. There were open seats next to us, so no one cared.

We ended up buying a ticket from a couple of young people. But they were legitimate tickets and they just wanted to sell their tickets and tailgate instead. There was a scalper though that had the chartreuse colored wristband for sale and a whole fist full of tickets. Now some of those had $90.00 on them and some didn't. And his insistence that a person could get into the game with that wrist band just seemed a bit fishy. And then when he said, "If it doesn't work, just look for me out front and I will give you your money back."

I told him I was born at night, but it wasn't last night and we would just pass.
