Ranking of Bowl Matchups
Auburn-Oregon BCS championship game tops annual bowl rankings - Stewart Mandel - SI.com

Re: Ranking of Bowl Matchups
Hate to say it, but there are a couple match ups that I want to watch (championship game and TCU/Wisconsin).
UConn/Oklahoma does make the system look silly though (which I'm all for)
death to the BCS

Re: Ranking of Bowl Matchups
This seems like a bunch of crappy matchups this year outside of the National title game and Catholic v. Convicts Version 2010.... -
Re: Ranking of Bowl Matchups
Very few interesting bowl games this year, it is an absolute shame how wrong the BCS system is.
That being said TCU vs Wisconsin should be interesting, and as much as I didn't want to see Auburn get there, the NC looks like it could be one of the most fun games to watch this season.

I hope TCU destroys Wisconsin, so Ohio State pres has to take back what he said about non-BCS schools being in title game.

Re: Ranking of Bowl Matchups
I won't complain about the matchups, the BCS or how many bowls are...I love bowl season. BUT, what is so freaking wrong with lining up a bunch of bowls on NYD? Just my opinion, but the only bowl that should be allowed to take place after NYD is the NC game. I remember having that day be complete wall to wall football. Now it is basically four crappy Big 11 games and that's it.

I am confused as to how it is the BCS's fault that you find this to be an uninteresting bowl season. The BCS's only job is to pit #1 vs. #2. The rest of the bowls are set up in similar fashion as they were prior to the creation of the BCS. Blame the NCAA/Conference Presidents/Sponsors if you don't like it.
On a different note, I've seen a lot of people talking about how the Catholics vs Convicts match-up is enticing. Have you watched either team play this year? They really aren't that good. Plus "the convicts" have only had 1 arrest over the last 3 or 4 years, so the nickname doesn't really fit. Just because ND is playing Miami doesn't mean it is going to be a mid-90's classic.

Agreed. And I think we can all agree that Randy Shannon's "clean program" aproach to Miami was a complete failure; BRING JIMMY BACK!

It was awesome to be able to watch games on all the major networks from 10 am to 11 pm or so on New Year's Day.

Re: Ranking of Bowl Matchups
More often than not, the BCS gets #1 vs #2 correct. Like previously stated, the rest is up to the bowls.
