Article is good, but a tad outdated. I'm going on what the dude told me at the T-Rye booth at the Iowa State Fair. He said the stuff actually produced in Iowa will be released in December. This was in August, and the article is from February.
There's been plenty in Coralville. My neighbor had the day off Tuesday and went shopping. 18 bottles of Templeton and a couple bottles of Cedar Ridge bourbon to make an even 20 bottles. This is for 4 guys so it should last awhile.
What's the price in Storm Lake? I might have my brother-in-law there pick me up a bottle as a Christmas present.
Two bottles at HyVee were 36.99 each plus tax.
My "supplier friend" gave me the case of six for 35.99 plus tax each but is selling them for $39.99 plus tax.
I got 4 bottles over a year ago and have two left. Was thinking of making bourbon stout with one. You guys do know that TR is creating this demand themselves. The are shipping some west to S.F. and east to N.Y. for some reason without satisfying the local Iowa/ Illinois markets first.

Those 2 cities are getting a very small percentage compared to what Iowa and Illinois is receiving. Not really putting that big of dent on the local supply.
