I am not gonna say that the Big East is the dominant conference obviously, but let me just say you will get not even the slightest rip from me on UCONN or their conference. I really don't want to be playing them up in Storrs next year, it will not be an easy one.

There is nothing to this. Their latest insider reports don't even mention CPR at all. Their top candidates are the OSU O-C and, surprisingly, Jay Norvell. If CPR takes this job, or if we even find out it was officially offered I will personally do naked snow angels in my back yard and post the video here. Please tell me you are a foxy young lady.

I am hoping Edsall is the key to UConn's success and he gets hired at Miami.

Re: Pitt Offers Rhoads?
I'm not sure which is funnier- the Pitt fans that think they are competing for Miami and Florida level coaches, or the posters here who are bringing up the same old (but true) arguments about Rhoads' family being here, money being the same, etc. like this rumor even merits a serious argument.

Re: Pitt Offers Rhoads?
Why would he go to Pitt?
Family advantage: ISU
Money: Same
Fan Support: ISU
I just hope CPR doesn't make the same mistakes other coaches have made with success ie Rich Rod, Howard Schnellenberger, etc.

I agree, but I think it's just that some people here are a little nervous. Not meltdown nervous, just a bit apprehensive.

Re: Pitt Offers Rhoads?
If ISU can't keep CPR, they will never keep a good coach around.

Re: Pitt Offers Rhoads?
i have heard from a source inside the football program that the offer is 2.9 mil before incentives
"Day after day, situation after situation you do things the right way. If you do things the right way, in life, you are going to be successful. I'm not just your football coach; I'm not just here to win games. I could not be prouder of who we are and who we are becoming, together. You do things right in the classroom, off and on the field; that's whats's makes us Cyclones and that's what our culture's all about."
