I officially hate my neighbor 3 houses down
This guy is getting on my nerves. Saturday we met the dude at another neighbor's Christmas party. Like a lost puppy, he decided that my wife would be his target, and followed her around constantly. At one point she even stated to him "I'm going to use the restroom, and I really don't want any company." I don't know how he is dealing with his recent divorce, but their must be better ways to deal with it than making passes at married women.
So, the same dude, who has never spoken more than two words to me previously, stopped by my house to see if he could borrow an ice-chipper. Naturally, I declined to give him any help, and he acted offended. He goes into a 5 minute speech on how hard it is to make new friends, and that it is hard for him to ask for help, especially during this rough holiday season. I felt kinda bad, until he asked what fitness center we are a part of. I'm thinking he has no intention of being my spotter. Me thinks he wants my wife to be his.
So, how exactly should one go about getting off this guy's radar? I'm not a jealous, violent person, but exactly where do you draw the line?

Live in Texas and tell him never to come on your property or you'll shoot.

Yeah, this came to mind, except not nearly as polite.

Re: I officially hate my neighbor 3 houses down
Sign him up for the Singles Club, match.com, and have him join the church choir, and then tell him to volunteer as a bell ringer, and to keep his paws off the merchandise when in your house.
At least he did not ask to borrow your tools or your thongs. Right, Cy Bobby?
Get a Great Dane for the holidays.
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style. -

Kinda looking to stay away from direct threats. See, If he is bat-*** crazy, I don't want to be the one pushing him over the edge.

I don't think he was expecting me to open the door, either. Probably assumed the wife was at home with the kid, and I actually left my house to go to work.

Re: I officially hate my neighbor 3 houses down
You could be upfront with him and tell him your concerns that you think he's stocking your wife. It could be he doesn't even realize what he is doing. You could be the good neighbor and say you are willing to be his friend on the condition that if he even makes 1 advance at your wife or does anything to imply that he has other intentions than being friends that is the end of being civil and he is no longer welcome.
I obviously wasn't there and don't know your situation but sometimes just being upfront and bringing it out might either clear up some misconceptions or confirm your worries.

Re: I officially hate my neighbor 3 houses down
Take the high road and tell him how you feel. Tell him that you may be a little concerned that he's hitting on your wife. Let him respond. It may just be a misunderstanding. Tension and rifts between neighbors can be a very difficult situation to live with over a large number of years. My advice is to handle the situation in a positive, up-beat manner. Do your best. Good luck!

Take it as a compliment man. You must have a good looking wife.
