Little Help Here

So one of my buddies has a picture on his facebook profile and he is awarding a free bowl of chili and a case of beer if someone can correctly name this picture. Its been about a week and there have been a many of tries, but no correct guesses. Someone help me! I cant give you chili or beer, but I can give you credits. Thanks. Maybe this could turn into a game too, post your pictures of historical buildings and get people to guess. First, you gotta get mine though

I tried a reverse image search, and apparently that is the only picture of it in the entire internet. 1.7 billions images searched and that did not pop up once.

He just gave a hint today: "Its east of the Missouri river and south of Maine north of alabama,west of south Carolina"...I'm still lost. The clocktower from Back to the Future was about all I could think of.

This sounds like a "needle in the haystack" thing where if you've never seen it, you have no chance at getting the answer. Probably why the payout is so good.

It looks like an old building we saw in St Louis walking from Union Station to the Cardinals stadium. No idea what the name is, but it looks like that building.

That's exactly what it is. It's the St Louis City Hall. I recognized it the same way CYKo did, walked by it en route to the Cards game. Used Google streetview to confirm.
