I don't know about 29 north but 80 should get better mostly coming this way. There was a patch of heavier snow east of here toward Harlan but here in Omaha we had maybe an inch and a half. At least in my driveway that was it. DOT says the I-State (heh) is fine over here.
Anyone travel I-80 west out of Des Moines or I-29 North from Omaha? Wondering how the travel is going on those roads
I drove from Norwalk to Le Mars this morning, I-80 about 40 miles west of des moines was slushy and then it got a little messy around Atlantic to 680. I-29 was perfect until S City. North of S City was pretty slushy including the bypass around S City. It is still snowing pretty heavy in Le Mars as we speak.
Just drove back to Carroll from ames. 30 west out of ames was speed limit traveling from Boone to Carroll. Roads just wet. Seemed worse in Ames than it was in the country.
That rug really tied the room together, did it not dude?
Glad we are staying in North Carolina vs coming home to LeMars. We only got 2 days last year with my parents because of the storm. Sounds like they are getting it again. Then again, they are talking that NC could get their 2nd snowfall on Christmas Day ever. That would be nice to have a white Christmas.

Hey I am heading to Le Mars too. Good to know it was ok.
When we left Ankeny for Parkersburg yesterday, the forecast said 1.5 inches or less for Butler county. Right now as I sit in my inlaws' living room we just got done clearing over 6 inches off the driveway and it is supposed to snow for several hours yet.
Exaggeration is a BILLION times worse than understating.
