Anyone been out and about this morning? Seems like central Iowa got a bit lucky with this one, as the forecast this morning seems to indicate that the storm held off longer than they thought, and is moving out faster than they thought as well. Perhaps that's just wishful thinking though.
I got out of my driveway just before the city plows came down my street. Now I just need to stay at the coffee shop until the renters get the driveway cleared
Nice to see the plows in Warren county have been busy this morning
Sadly it's not just Warren county. I drove from Stuart to WDM around 730 and the interstate was basically one lane. The DOT is failing massively on this "storm". Jordan Creek still doesn't look like a plow has been down it at all.
Total weatherman fail. Last night they said 6.7 inches and snow until 6pm. We barely have 2 and it's about done.

It does look like Des Moines will come in a bit shy of the 4-5 I called for Wed & Thu, though it is not over yet...2.5" downtown, waiting for next band in 30-45 min
On the other hand it would appear the 4~6" called for north of highway 30, with iso 7+ NE, is coming in nicely.
