Will be interesting to see how they handle this, if true. The new Charger was a complete disappointment, but the new Challenger is pretty awesome.

I guess my question is why? Dodge already has the Challenger and the Plymouth nameplate is dead.
Chuck Lidell: I paint my toenails with pink and black polish. Problem is, I get more paint on my toes and on the carpet than on my nails. Any advice?
Maria Sharapova: Don't you beat up other guys for a living? I don't know how to answer this.

Because the auto industry hasn't learned anything from GM. Why have 1 car when you can have 3 with just a different name!

I would say that the Charger was anything but disappointing. I love the look of them. They actually got the ball rolling on the Challenger and any other car they are bringing back. Now I would agree the Charger looks nothing like the original charger.
Nobody but HB knows for sure. You pretty much know nothing....like Knownothing would like to say.

I agree. Who needs an engineering degree to "design"; new cars when all you have to do is search the archives for 1974 blue prints and call DuPont to ask about new paint colors to create a "new" car? And when sales tank, blame it on the UAW.

Dean Wormer was wrong. Fat, drunk and stupid was a great way to go through college (all five years of it).

when is Chrysler going to realize that the American muscle car era is never going to come back? I seem to recall that this line of thought got them in trouble in the first place.

Re: Chrysler May Revive the Barracuda

Back in the day, the Cuda was a cool car and gas prices were low. Chrysler isn't going to be happy until the "muscle" themselves right out of business. They'd better start thinking 21st century and get out of the 60's mentality! I saw a comment tonight on Nightly Business Report by a Shell exec that said that gas prices could reach $5/gal in the U.S. in 2012. Do you still want that Cuda???

I don't see anything wrong with a muscle car or two by each manufacture. It's just when they try to "hemi" every vehicle they have without improving quality.

Yeah. Dodge/Chrysler can't do that. They must stick to there 5,000 pound cars because it's what they do. That and making EVERYTHING and automatic. Personally, I think their cars are all borings with the exception of the SRT8 Grand Cherokee.

Bringing back old names is cool, but the secret is simpy designing a great product that buyers will want. Do you think many buyers care that Toyotas line up wasn't around in the 60's?

And no matter if you bring back a model, it's still in name only.
