Dean Wormer was wrong. Fat, drunk and stupid was a great way to go through college (all five years of it).

It had little to do with being by the inlet, the geese were keeping an area of the lake open and the guys in the truck found said area. It happens quite a bit at all times of the year, if there is a large flock of waterfowl on a lake certain areas are risky.

Its more likely that these two guys caught too many fish the day before. When they returned to the scene of the crime the remaining fish were enraged when they found the truck driving out onto the ice. So they gathered a large school to swirl underneath the ice in the direct path of the truck. The fish had the last laugh..

Jokes aside I hear they're catching some nice Walleyes out at SL. I can't wait to hit that up this weekend.

You were probably driving uphill both ways back then. Ice is stronger and therefore less likely to crack when you're going uphill.

Then I guess these two were just law breakers, huh?
Everyone is entitled to their opinion - no matter how wrong they may be.

You can only evade Johnny Law for so long before he catches up with you...
