    Good podcasts? Sportsradio?

I am doing an internship in this semester and will be commuting from ames to west des moines every morning.. I will be in the car a lot. Any suggestions on good podcasts? Id listen to sports podcasts, but I don't see how they could be that great since the only good sports stuff is only good if its up to minute fresh...

Right now I listen to mike and mike and like it.. but 1700 the champ comes in really bad. Any suggestions?!

    Thanks

I like PTI, and they podcast their shows.

I am a big fan of this one as well. They do a good job discussing past events and keeping it interesting...plus they really like CPR.

    Re: Good podcasts? Sportsradio?

The only straight sports podcast I listen to is the Dan Patrick Show since I can't listen to it live and can't always watch it. They split up each hour so if you only want the last hour you can just wait to download that or whatever.

Other than that I also listen to NPR's "Wait Wait Don't Tell Me" which is a comedy news quiz. Diggnation (a couple of guys sitting around drinking and talking about tech news), Windows Weekly, Cyclone Fanatic, Uncontrolled Airspace (Aviation), This Week In Tech, Weatherbrains, and Leo Laporte The Tech Guy.

There is a very good chance that CF will be producing two podcasts per week from here on out. Hopefully I'll have some news on this early next week. One will be the regular Williams and Blum production and the other will hopefully be announced next week. Big news if I can get it finalized.

Slate's "Hang Up and Listen" is a really good sports podcast. For non-sports ones, NPR has some of the best ones I think.

Hardcore history: Dan Carlin - Hardcore History Archive

Skeptoid: Critical Analysis Podcast - neat one, but takes the fun out of things like monster quest and ancient aliens

The Beer Report - good stuff, most definitely not safe for work.
Asteroids are nature's way of asking "How's that space program going?"

Sklar Bro Country - Randy and Jason Sklar (the twins from ESPN Classic's Cheap Seats) do a weekly podcast. It's great. You get humor mixed with sports.
