Flashplayer not working in CF.
The flashplayer plugin for my mac book keeps quitting when Im on CF. Anyone else have this problem. I dont have this problem on other sites but Im sure its just me.
Its only a year old and I constantly update the software from apple. Its really annoying cause it slows down like hell until it quits.
thanks guys.

Re: Flashplayer not working in CF.
Have you updated to 10.1? Adobe - Install a different version of Adobe Flash Player
This happened to me the other day and I updated and it is now working fine.

Still "quitting unexpectedly" as it tells me.
just takes longer than before.

thanks guys. The current version of Flash Player is incredibly buggy. It crashes on me all the time and on multiple sites. You either have to deal with it or do without. It slows my browser down too. I'm hoping people running sites get the message and move to the HTML 5 standard.

Re: Flashplayer not working in CF.
I've had issues with Flash Player in general since their most recent update. It may not be exclusive to CF but rather an issue with Adobe's recent update. For example, ESPN3.com now has black bars flicker at times when playing a game.

No other site having issues just CF; never had an issue here before today (even during the virus spike earlier last fall) so I dont understand or know what going on. Seems maybe our publisher is having issue too, if Im reading his message right.
Thanks for the report though. Hopefully I can get it figure out with some help if anyone can provide it.

Re: Flashplayer not working in CF.
FYI, I've been using Google Chrome for quite awhile and haven't had any issues with that, period. I have a fairly new and fast Dell notebook.
A couple of months ago I also started using the new Beta version of Internet Explorer (Beta 9.0). I didn't have any issues with it then. But after not using IE for two months, I had all kinds of issues with Adobe Flash player when I went back to using IE 9.0 Beta a week or two ago. It kept saying I needed to install the Adobe Flash update, and I would say OK, but it was like it didn't actually install or change anything. So I went to the Adobe site and tried to (or did) install the latest version there. It didn't fix the issue in IE though. There are special notes at the Adobe site about IE 9.0 Beta; however, and besides, I figured maybe it had to do with 32 versus 64 bit (IIRC, I am using 64 bit version of IE). So I pretty much decided no more IE 9.0 Beta for now.
More recently though I noticed the problem in IE was almost always related to this site (one of my favorites, so one I was always opening). It happens occasionally on another site or two I visit in IE, but seemed to happen ALL the time on CF. When I stopped visiting CF in IE I discovered that, yes, I am able to use it. That is, it rarely happens on the other sites I visit in IE, and as a result wasn't constantly annoying (again, to the point I decided no longer use it, might as well just use Chrome).
Again, to repeat, I have not had any issues with Adobe Flash Player using Google Chrome (on CF or any other site). I am using that primarily. But by not opening CF in IE 9.0 Beta, I am able to continue doing some things with it (as it is possible I will switch in the future).

Our engineers are working on this and I'm being told that this isn't an exclusive CF deal, but other sites have had problems with Flash over the last few days too. Hopefully I'll learn something soon.
