    Treadmills, Treadclimbers, Help!!!!!!!!

I seek your knowledge everyone! My wife really wants a Bowflex treadclimber. I
think it's a great idea but I read alot of bad reviews on it. I also don't like the base model not having any programs, etc. at all. I am leaning toward the Nordictrack Incline Trainer that goes up to 40% incline with all the bells and whistles for the same price. Anyone have either one of these?????

We have a number of machines...really like the ellipitical. Bought a schwinn on amazon and love it. We use our treadmill a lot too.

    Re: Treadmills, Treadclimbers, Help!!!!!!!!

This is a site I used when doing my research for what to buy:

Treadmill - Elliptical Reviews, Service, & Parts : Treadmill Doctor

I ended up buying a Sole F63 treadmill. It has speeds up to 12 mph and a decent incline level. It comes with a wireless chest strap for heartrate monitoring. When looking, you'll want to compare the treadmill's motor, belt size, and speeds. When I bought it, Treadmill Doctors had it rated as the best running treadmill under $1000. And, yes, running treadmill is important. Many of the cheaper ones are designed for walking only. Be sure to ask.

I've had the Sole for about 2 years. We have over 400 miles on it (winter use mostly). The motor shaft broke after about 1 year. Sole sent a new motor and and repair tech to the house. A few months ago, we noticed the LCD got cracked somehow and we couldn't read the time or heartrate. They sent a new board that I installated myself for no cost. I'm sure we caused the crack ourselves and yet they replaced it for free.

There service has been GREAT. I would rather that there simply be no problems to fix, but a treadmill does have a lot of moving parts. Be sure you pick a company that will support their product.

We bought a used Nordic Track Treadmill 6 years ago and it still works great. AND it is easy to fix and get parts for. I put a new incline motor in it last year. Motor was $60 and it took < 20 minutes to install.

I'll second the treadmill doctor recommendation.

Mine does everything I need it to do but i would love to have some of the new technology that incorporates google maps.

What is the optimum incline on the treadmill for take-off? Or does it depend on which airliner you are flying?
