49 States currently have snow on the ground. The lone hold out is Florida.

It is estimated that about 70% of the US surface is covered with snow!

It isn't out of the ordinary for Mauna Loa to have snow on it's peak during the winter.

Last time I was in Hawaii to get away from the winter weather in Minnesota there were winter storm warnings on the big island. It seems kind of weird to hear that when you are sitting on the beach in your swim suit.
