Just watched last night's Blue Mountain State on Netflix, and I quote, "The biggest sports riots in history happen after big wins. Iowa State, Maryland, New Orleans, LA".
I'm sure they are referring to the veisha riots, but they could be referring to the old tradition of carrying the goal posts to lake laverne.
I believe it was after "big wins":cool:
Also I think they mentioned Maryland in there too.
but yeah that was pretty cool.
There were celebratory riots after the Round of 32 and Sweet 16 in '00, as well as an angry riot after the Elite Eight.

The "riot" after beating UCLA in the Sweet 16 in 2000 was awesome! Lincoln Way was completely stopped at the Welch intersection. Although I don't know that riot is the right word, there wasn't really any destruction and arrests were minimal.Quote:
