United States of Beer
Hey fanatics. I came across this map of America, and the beers people associate with each state. See the map below, and the link here:The United States of Beer - Houston Restaurants and Dining - Eating Our Words -

OMBC?? Really?!?! Don't get me wrong, I like OMBC, but I rarely if ever see it consumed outside of Ames. I'd of voted for Millstream. Home Page -

Alabama is so lucky to get Keystone...I would have guessed Arizona to be Corona

LOL at Coors not being the beer associated with Colorado
They say country music speaks to the heart. Unfortunately, it has to go through your ears to get there. -

I think they got it right for the two states I call home - IA with Old Main, and NC with Carolina Brewing Company. CBC was the first microbrew in the state (started in 1995), but it only distributes to 8 counties and one of the owners told me they have absolutely no intention of expanding their distribution, so I'm kind of surprised people have heard of them. I would think Foothills, Duck Rabbit, or one of the Asheville breweries would have gotten the nod since I've actually seen them sold outside of NC.

Re: United States of Beer
It would have been more funny had they put O'duol's as Utah's beer.

Re: United States of Beer
Hmmm...Texas got on the board with Shiner. I would have thought for sure they'd call out some Lone Star instead. Pleasant surprise, that's for sure!

Re: United States of Beer
Louisiana wins. Abita is probably the best beer ever.

Even though it went to WV, I think Iowa should have at least gotten some kind of honorable mention for Natty Light.
