I got a chuckle when the lead guy said at the end "I'm getting serioius about this now." My first thought was well what the heck have you been waiting for?
The way these guys do things, you can understand why they don't have anything to start with. Very poor planners.
Another good episode tonight. Showed some behind the scenes footage and kind of led into season 2.
Looks like Fred is overtaking the Porcupine mine with his own crew. And the rest are going to find another mine up near Yukon Alaska. The mine they were looking at has never been mined by machine before. They were trying to strike a deal with the claim owner, but never really said if one was made. Discovery must be giving them a large sum of money because they want all new equipment, bigger equipment, and better equipment. Season 2 should be pretty interesting!
Also found it funny when they brought in the old guy in the last couple episodes and turns out to be the only guy that seemed to know what he was doing. Yet all the guys there were to arrogant to want to listen and kept telling him to shut up.
I'll watch the 2nd season that's coming up, but got a feeling that's its going to be like the first season: They'll lack direction, bicker at each other and probably get some luck at the end.
Fred is going to come in and scoop the gold out with his own crew, now that the old crew has spent $250,000 digging the hole. Seems almost criminal that he can get away with that.
Enjoy the show, but I'd never sign on with these guys. Like the new stake holder said, these are nice guys but that doesn't mean they can make it work. Not much capital to support them and these guys just don't have a lot of brains. Todd's management and planning skills are poor.
I hope they hit it rich, but would't bet much money on it....
