Hey guys does anyone have any idea what live operating systems are. I have a project due at 11 pm tonight and have no idea what a live operating system is? I think it is like Linux or something.

What else could be used to store an operating system?
Give you a clue: a "Live" OS typically runs from a removable media, and not from a hard drive (like a CD/DVD disc, or a flash drive). Another: Windows CANNOT be a "Live" OS, and neither can Mac OS X. Process of elimination should get you from there.

Windows can be a live OS. BartPE, is a good example. Use it weekly to make images and run antispyware apps.
