    kinda weird how I got word on the Ankeny schools closing. My cell phone starts vibrating here at work and the number shows 411 (or 441)-000-0000 and i'm thinking what's that? So I just hit ignore and let voice mail pick it up. I decide google the number and it comes back saying it's a number schools use to get emergency information out.

    Checked the Ankeny schools website, sure enough on their home page was the early out informatin and that number left a voice mail giving the early out out info as well, so I saved that number and gave it a label so that in the future, I know what it is.

    We had cancelled school today which is dumb. 2 hour delay would have been just fine. Now I've got one less day for spring break. As long as they dont start tapping them onto the end of the year, I'll be golden.

    In my 5 years at ISU, I never once had an official snow day. Evening classes were cancelled a few times, but never did the University shut down as a whole.
