    "Baby" moon

The wife and I are planning a 4 day weekend in March for a babymoon. She is set on a bed and breakfast type place...somewhere within a few hours of Des Moines. We've looked at places in St. Louis, Chicago and Minneapolis.

    Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

babymoon is the last trip you make as husband and wife before your first child is born.

My wife and I went to San Fransisco last year for ours.

since a honeymoon follows the wedding, wouldn't a babymoon make more sense if you took it right after the kid is born?

    was this oprahs idea?

...yeah. Trips with kids are not restful at all. We went to Destin, FL this past August and had a blast with the Grandparents, but it was a big production, and we only have one.

Our next trip is to MN for a baptism and then to Disneyland. Which will be more fun? Debatable.

Thanks to those who gave serious advice. We've been married for almost 4 years and are expecting our first child this summer.

We are looking to go some where for 4 days/3 nights.

I was going to recommend any of the Bed and Breakfast type places along the Great Lakes, but then I noticed you were looking at doing this in March. Also, it's a couple more hours added on to a trip to Minneapolis.

Depends on what you want to do for 4 days (assuming this takes into account a half day+ for traveling?)
