    Heart Centers/Cardiac Care

Does anyone have any experience with the subject? Any particular hospitals you recommend over others in Iowa?

    No I don't.

Allen Hospital in Waterloo has been rated really well(I think they may be top 20 in the country in some categories)

Would think U of I and Mayo would also be good options.

    Re: Heart Centers/Cardiac Care

Depends what type of heart specialist you are looking for? General cardiac care, vascular, surgical?

I don't know all of the ratings, but I know that St. Lukes in Cedar Rapids is pretty good. Also I think UNMC does a good job. I think U of Wisconsin-Madison is probably the best care you could get in the midwest. Hope this helps.

Allen Hospital in Waterloo... they are very good. I spend a little time working at Allen. They are great. My father in law also used them last summer when he had a heart attack when fly fishing with me last year. They took great care of him.

St. Lukes is the best in the state when it comes to cardiac care.
