Tavern Hawk Nation vs. Cyclown Fanatic Golf Challenge

We've been discussing the idea of having some sort of golf event with the folks at Tavern Hawkeyenation.com over the past few months and I thought I'd float this out here to see if there was any interest from you guys/gals.

We'd be looking to have a 4 person best shot at a golf course in the DM area, we'd try to fill the T times half way with Tavern Hawks, and the other half with Cyclowns. Everyone would get together, have a good time, play some golf, drink some beer, maybe raise a little money for a charity or two, and most importantly battle for the first ever...

What is the participation interest level for something like this for you guys?

if you have more details..........date, place, costs. i am sure you can get people on here to sign up. there has been a number of conversations of golf tournaments over the years.

I'm terrible at golf and would only hurt the cause.

I would love to do this. My Dad is a Hawkeye and Brother-in-law a Cyclone, so we would have a mixture team if that's ok?

No it's not OK, it's simply wrong but that doesn't mean you can't do it.

I'm thinking this event could be used for one of those Geico commercials -- you know like the "Is having a snowball fight with Randy Johnson a bad idea?" commerical.

I can tolerate good Hawkeye fans, but you have to figure that there would be one or two "hok" fans that would get under my skin enough for me to wrap a 7 iron around their neck.

I think it is a brawl waiting to happen.

You really think getting two groups of people together in one place with alcohol and weapons is a good idea?

That being said I doubt I would do it mostly because I cannot stand hawk fans or any fan for that matter that can't see reality and can only see ferentz or whoever is their god and nothing else, everyone else is below them no matter how good they are. You know the kind, the one's that say that everything was rigged this year and they never get any respect meanwhile they are top 10 in the country. Little babies imo.
