Re: Our solar system may have nine planets after all

Very interesting... 4 times the mass of Jupiter? That's one helluva gas giant.

Actually this is false. Pluto's ties to Mickey Mouse and Disney, and Disney's ties to ESPN really messed that plan up. Rumor now is that since TCU bolted to the Big East, Pluto would team up with the other 7 Dwarf Planets to create their own network.

Another excellent basketball planet for the Big East. What a conference.

The story that comes to mind for me is that it is the home planet of the Annunaki who were here when the summarians were alive. And in 2012, their planet is supposed to be closest to the earth in thousands of years and that is when the Annunaki are supposed to return. Either way, both funny.
The Biblical stories of Nibiru and the Nephilim (Half Angel-Half Human Hybrid Race) are almost identical to the Sumerian accounts of the Annunaki (Half Alien-Half Human Hybrid Race) and "Planet X" or "Tiamat"

Actually, it does matter. Everything we learn about the universe matters, whether you believe it or not.

For example, how is it that a gas giant 4 times the size of Jupiter could be dinking around so far out in our system, when everything else out there is so small? What does that say about the creation of the planets? What does that say about the strength of our Sun's gravity that far out?

Plus, whether it's a gas giant, or perhaps a dwarf star, having an unseen massive object lurking in the shadows of our cosmic neighborhood normally populated by smaller objects (such as meteoroids, asteroids, comets and dwarf planets) could and perhaps does have dire consequences for us here on Earth. Maybe it's the one hurling all those smaller objects that tend to strike our home from time to time, wiping out almost all life?

Or, perhaps as has been stated about Jupiter, this unknown planet is acting like another "bouncer" keeping really nasty objects out of the neighborhood and keeping them from slamming into Earth. It has been thousands of years, if not longer, since the Earth has been impacted by a devastating meteor (the only one I really can even think of is that massive crater in Arizona). Perhaps the reason for that is these gaseous giants in the outer parts of our solar system.

Did I miss something in bible school? The biblical story of Nibiru? Or, did you mean Babylonian story?

Interesting, never heard that said about Jupiter before. I like that theory because one could argue that it has design implications. One could also argue if the gas giants are "bouncers," for planets that house life, that it is coincidence and that it was bound to happen to a solar system somewhere in the universe (and perhaps in other universes). Cool cool stuff, we have so much to learn about the Universe it blows my brain to even think about it...

I do not, however, believe in coincidence.

I don't know anything about Nibiru being mentioned in the Bible, but I know the Nephilim are mentioned twice - Genesis 6 and Numbers 13.
