Re: Survivor-Redemption Island
Thoughts on the season?
- Phil is crazy but I would take him to the final 3 because no one would vote for him. I can't stand him and his pink underwear gross me out but I don't blame Rob for keeping him around because it takes the target off his back.
- Rob has way too much power right now, his allies are stupid for not trying to blindside him yet. If he doesn't make the final 3 I'd be surprised because he's basically using the same strategy as Russell, take the dumbest and weakest players along with you and keep them loyal so they don't vote against you.
- Ralph messed up when he played his idol, had he used it to save Matt several weeks ago this would be a totally different game right now because lately it's been too predictable. You know Steve and Ralph will go home the next 2 weeks before it gets interesting again.

Re: Survivor-Redemption Island
I wish Matt had a clue on the social aspect of the game. Challenge monster, and I think he'll be in at the end of the Redemption Island portion of the game. I just don't see how he can do any better than surviving Redemption Island, though.

Sorry. Feel free to vote me out.

I hope we find out what Phil really did as a "special agent" or whatever it was he used to do for the government. Maybe he was put in charge of cleaning toilets or something because the man can't read anyone on the island and he's terrible about keeping information to himself so I find it hard that he had anything to do with actual intelligence.

I seriously am holding out hope Phil makes it to the final 3, and he goes in there a completely different person...like he's the most eloquently spoken, intelligent SOB on the planet, who's been ******* around with everyone and his antics. Some super spy type stuff where everyone on the jury anf watching on TV just sits there, mouths agape, as he shows himself to be some kind of mad genius who has the ability to play everyone as fools for so long.
If that doesn't happen, he puts all of his predecessors (i.e. The Dragonslayer) to shame, in regard to total dilusionalism, and if he was indeed a "special agent" for our government, I for one am frightened for my life.

Re: Survivor-Redemption Island
I only saw a couple of episodes early on, but there was a guy named Steve that apparently was a former pro football player. Did they ever reveal who that is?

He was such a horrible strategic player that I couldn't justify giving him a million dollars.
Also, I think they will try to backstab Rob but not until they eliminate the other tribe first. That former NFL player in Rob's alliance will be the leader of the group to try and get rid of him. The question will be will Rob see it coming and play the idol. I think he will.

Former NFL offensive lineman Steve Wright, who played for the Cowboys, Colts and Raiders during a 10-season career spanning 1981 to 1992, is competing on "Survivor" this season.
Also...
Grant (Grant Mattos) played briefly for the Chargers -- 6 games in 2003.

Once Steve and Ralph are gone he's going to be thinking he could be the next target. He's so confident right now and hasn't even thought about using his idol I think now is the time you do it. Granted they don't know he has the idol but a guy that has played the game as much as he has the rest of his tribe is just stupid to think they'll be able to vote him out whenever they please.

The way he has his alliance working, right now ("buddy system"), Rob should see any attempt at a 'blindside' coming from a mile away. For someone who should have a huge target on his back, he's in pretty good shape. At least it appears that way.

No, no, it wasn't intelligence. It was DIRECTOR OF COUNTER-INTELLIGENCE.
The more I read those words, the more applicable I think they are to Philip.

Re: Survivor-Redemption Island
Director of Counter Intelligence was just a reference to his role on the alliance. Each member of the alliance had some weird title that Phil gave them during one of the tribal councils.

Re: Survivor-Redemption Island
Rob's tribe just irks the living crap out of me because they are playing right into their hands. If Matt made it back I would vote for him simply because he has been completely honest with everybody and would make it to the end based simply on unreal ability on the island and in challenges. It appears two people right now will be going back and I'd love it if Mike and Matt made it back.

It appears two people right now will be going back and I'd love it if Mike and Matt made it back. Your first sentence confuses me. They are playing right into whose hands? Rob's tribe is doing what you are supposed to do when you have numbers after the merge. Quite frankly the other tibe is getting what they deserve after throwing that challenge. That's what irks me. They threw a challenge which allowed the other tribe to get up off the mat after getting their butts kicked so many times all for a vote that made zero strategic sense.
As for Matt, I think Rob made a mistake voting him out the first time. The second time is all on Matt. If you wanna play both sides that's fine, but don't go tell someone that you really thought about voting them out but decided not to, like you're doing them some huge favor. And if a guy who got voted out twice wins Survivor, I am out on this show.
