Yeah, not sure what that's all about, but it's been out there for a few weeks. Hassell re-tweeted some guy a few weeks ago who tweeted about how excited he was to be joining WHO-13's sports department. Since the guy mentioned Murph and Andy and Hasell re-tweeted his congrats, that obviously meant Terrell was moving on. I figured it was friendly though, as then like a week later those guys made a big deal about Terrell joining Twitter finally.

Terrell didn't like playing 4th fiddle there anymore. He was Andy's replacement when Fales left. So Terrell was once 2nd on the totem pole.

I like Shawn and wish him nothing but the best. He's a good guy who I'm glad to have become friends with over the years.

Im pretty sure Hassel replaced Fales. Plus, Andy doesn't do sports anymore, other than Soundoff. Hes considered a reporter.

Wish him the best but thanking the lord above he is gone. He was duller than watching paint dry. Now the only DB left in local sports in Garmin.

So did Ch 13 actually hire someone new or is Fales moving back to the sports dept instead of doing a "dual role" like he is now? I figured the only way he was able to get back on with WHO was to take the gig he is doing right now since it would be hard to justify having 4 guys on payroll in Sports.

So are you saying that Shawn is a DB??? Seriously? Do you know him? I've know Shawn for 10 years now. He roomed with my cousin at Iowa, and I spent a lot of time hanging out with them. Shawn is a good guy. He got me out of a couple fights because I was the cocky Cyclone fan back then.

So what if he is an Iowa fan. My whole family is that way. Doesn't mean they are DB's or what not. Sad to see the maturity level of some people here. You may not like him on tv, thats fine, but the DB statement without knowing him is a bit far.

I play basketball with Shawn over lunch once in awhile. Seems like a nice guy. I figured since Andy did a lot of mainstream news, he kept busy.

Hassel has definitely found a nitch, so Shawn would be most likely lowest man on the totem pole.

Correct. Shawn was already there at the time.

I bet moving back to sports would be a big pay decrease for Andy. He really isnt do dual roles now anyway.

Shawn was great when he was at KCRG before moving to Des Moines. Then they hired this idiot Jon to replace him, the guy is just as awkward in person as he is on TV.

It took me a while to get used to Shawn as he is a little dryer than the other 3. However, as time went on he proved he was deserving. From all I have heard from people who know him is that he is a great guy. I wish him the best.
