Anyone able to pick one of these up yesterday? I wasn't able to take off work early enough to go stand in line, so I was out of luck. Didn't take the plunge with the first iPad, but thought I'd try it out with the second generation.

Just goes to show how powerful the Apple hype machine is.
Personally, I love my Mac, but seriously... no Apple product is worth the day one purchase for me.
Well, I guess I'm the only idiot among you as I'm typing this from my brand new iPad2. I have held off buying any Apple product until now, and I must admit - in the 20 hours or so that I've had it, I'm really enjoying it so far. Light, fast and easy to use.
The main reason I got it was to transform all my hard copy work binders into pdf's that I can access immediately without waiting for a boot-up - AND - get a lot of weight out of my briefcase. I think that's going to work out nicely. Plus, it's turning out to be a lot of fun, too.
Got to the mall about 1 pm and was 36th in line. Brought a book and chilled out for a while. Hell, I've wasted more time in an airport any given day - so I consider the day to have been productive.
I did recognize ISU22 being there as well - don't know if he was there to buy though.
I got mine at best buy, only had to wait about 20 minutes
I ordered mine on Friday online. I'll be getting mine next week and passing the old iPad on to another employee at work. I have heard that iMovie and Garageband are pretty good on the iPad 2.
Surprised the PC nerds haven't totally taken over this thread by letting us all know why we all suck and Apple is an awful company.
Does it come with super absorbent wings?
I had an eMac for a long time, so I am familiar enough with Mac OS X. Much of the draw of the iOS products (iPhones, iTouch, and iPads) is the awesome apps that are available, most for as little as 99 cents, some even free. I think it would be awesome if Apple could add touchscreen capability to the macbooks, and make them software-compatible with iOS (and Mac OS X). I think they'd be extremely popular.
