Anyone able to pick one of these up yesterday? I wasn't able to take off work early enough to go stand in line, so I was out of luck. Didn't take the plunge with the first iPad, but thought I'd try it out with the second generation.

I'd save $100 and get the 1st gen iPad. I just don't see any must haves with the iPad 2 over the 1st model but that's my $.02.Quote:

Got to the mall about 1 pm and was 36th in line. Brought a book and chilled out for a while. Hell, I've wasted more time in an airport any given day - so I consider the day to have been productive.
I did recognize ISU22 being there as well - don't know if he was there to buy though.
I got mine at best buy, only had to wait about 20 minutes

I had an eMac for a long time, so I am familiar enough with Mac OS X. Much of the draw of the iOS products (iPhones, iTouch, and iPads) is the awesome apps that are available, most for as little as 99 cents, some even free. I think it would be awesome if Apple could add touchscreen capability to the macbooks, and make them software-compatible with iOS (and Mac OS X). I think they'd be extremely popular.Quote:
