I could have lived with that also, except that not only does TV2 get an SD signal, it also only outputs a 4:3 signal to TV2. Double downer.

I guess I kind of understand why they do it that way, though. I'm guessing a large percentage of people would opt for the RedZone channel over the Sunday Ticket and they'd probably lose money. Do yourself a favor (if you don't already) and check the hot deals forums on fatwallet.com In a few months you'll see people posting about how they got a severly discounted or free NFL Sunday ticket. Hope that helps.

Switched to DirecTV last Fall. Absolutely love it. Will never go back.

Re: I become a DirecTV customer today
I got a deal on Sunday ticket last year but as a fantasy football fan I found myself watching the red zone 90% of the time. I also liked that when my players scored it would pop up on the screen.
They'll really have to have deals this year since even if the NFL does play football, sales will be down.

The channels on the TV2 in my house come out in 16:9 on the HD version of the channel

So it can be done, but not without a trading away some convenience.
With DirecTV you can share your DVR on any number of independent TV's and all in 16:9 in HD.

Other than FCS and NFL Sunday Ticket, never understood the argument that DirecTV blows Dish away when it comes to sports. Don't forget the MLB Network, it's only on DirecTV as well.

I think they also have a lot more full time (part time maybe too) RSNs than Dish. Does Dish do the multiple channel coverage for the golf and tennis majors? DirecTV has some soccer stuff that I don't know if Dish has and let's not forget the Cricket Ticket.
