Waste Collection in Ankeny

I have been looking around this morning to try and figure out who to go with as far as waste collection in Ankeny. It look like Ankeny Sanitation and Waste Connections are the 2 cheapest, and are right around the same price at $40 every 3 months.

Anybody in Ankeny have any experience with these two or have any suggestions/information? Thanks ahead of time!

I use Waste Connections and have been very happy. The nice thing about them is that if you have too much to fit in your cart you can just leave it sitting next to the cart and they'll take it all without charging extra.

We use Ankeny Sanitation and have been pleased with them so far. Pretty consistent pick-up times.

We use Ankeny Sanitation and they will do the same as above. I have no complaints with them. I don't know about others but for yard waste you just call when you need it picked up and they come by a get it every Tuesday. You don't have to bother buying tags or anything.

That's a big plus. I'm not sure if WC does that or not.

Don't know if it directly relates to this but we had Ankeny Sanitation on the new high school jobsite and they are great to work with, and had very consistent pick-ups with out 90 gallon wheeled trash cans as well.

I would definately use them again on any job if I had the chance!

I should clarify that it is additional cost, not included base cost. I believe its $1.50 per bag with a $5 minimum on each trip. I usually just wait until I have 5 bags or so and then give them a call.

I've used Ankeny Sanitation for the 8-9 years I've been in Ankeny and they are cheap ($40.50 for 3 months) and reliable. I'll also attest to the fact that they will pick up stuff next to your garbage can if it doesn't fit.
