Can anyone stop the carnage!?
And we lost another one...
What a crock of ****...
I liked Goose Island as well...
I suppose if they don't mess with the quality and etc and it instead helps the pricing or whatever, I don't think I have any issues with it. (other than a corporate monster gobbling up another small company)
Dangit, I love 312. Hopefully AB does not mess with it too much.
Let Me Goose island be Free.
I like shock top much better than 312, but the wife prefers 312.
To quote (or paraphrase) Norm Peterson: "is this going to affect the price of beer Sammy"???
Here is a good editorial about it...

I can understand always wanting to grow. Who doesn't want to make more money. But I think it's almost exactly like the "Social Network" dilemna: when, if ever, do you sell out and cash in, because as soon as you do that, it's not cool anymore.
I've been through "special" tours at AB. They have full capability of making great beer at mass quantity. I've had Budweiser before its last stage in the brewing process, and it's fabulous. Then they water it down, because that's how they make more money. They'll cut costs on Goose Island beers, and it will not be the same.
