Compost around Ankeny

I will be landscaping here in a few weeks, does anyone know where around Ankeny I can take the sod and extra dirt I have to take out? Thanks in advance!

Just put an ad up on CraigsList or something saying you'll have dirt/sod available for the taking on a certain day and I bet you get a couple responses...

Solves the problem of getting rid of it, plus you don't have to haul it...

you can always put in in bio bags and call Ankeny Sanitation for the Tuesday pickup..........

Call the City of Ankeny - ask if they have a green dump area where people bring their yard waste. etc.

I'd second this. I did this a couple of years ago when I put in a patio and I got rid of a lot of sod and dirt chunks. I literally just set it at the curb, threw up a craigslist ad, and it was gone within hours.
