Moving back to Iowa!! Question for the board...

Having a hard time finding a good website that has rentals other than craigslist. If anyone knows somebody that has a house for rent it would be greatly appreciated.

We are looking for a house with at least 2 bedrooms in the west des moines,waukee,adel, and possibly johnston area. I will be working west in the Earlham area and don't want to be too far from that area to live.

Again any kind of help would be appreciated or if you know a realtor that could help us as well.

Adel would be a good option. Far enough west to be out of paying premium rent like in WDM or Waukee. Closer to Earlham, but not too far from Des Moines. Dallas County News probably has a web site where you could look for rental ads.

www.padmapper.com is my favorite resource. It pulls information from craigslist, apartments.com, and a number of other renatl resources and plots the information onto a google map. I highly reccomend giving that a try rather than trying to check out every websit individually.

You can use the options in the lower left corner to tailor your search to what kind of rental, number of bathrooms/bedrooms, cost, etc...

Properties for Rent

This guy manages rentals for people who want to rent out their houses/condos. We used him when we moved out of state and had very good luck with him. There usually aren't a ton of listings, but the places he has are very nice. He is also a realtor and could possibly help when you decide to buy.
