Does anyone have pics of cool homemade tailgate gear that they have built? Or pics of others homemade stuff? Im bored and looking to fabricate some new items.
I'm thinking about making a large size Jenga game since I have a bunch of small ends of 2x4 leftover from framing my basement last summer. Would be pretty simple and quick to do using a miter saw to cut all the pieces the same length

Quick thought on that, the key to Jenga is the pieces are actually all the same length however their width and heights are different on each piece which is how they slide out. They are also smooth as can be so im not sure that would work, however if it does that would be awesome!!!!
I'm no great handy man, but I made a flag pole last year. I bought the metal base plate, and just stuck the PVC flag pole in it. About half the cost of buying an actual flag pole. Here are some pics. I'll probably add on another length this year, as it was a little short, and I also want to add another flag or two.

We have homemade jenga...works fine. Nothing more than just cutting them to size and sanding them alot. Also we made a field goal post for kicking beer cans through...tons of fun. I dont have any pictures handy right now but I might be able to find some.

I made one that I can drive over. It's a piece of 12 gauge steel, then there are two angle irons that are like 12" tall on the edge. I punched 2 holes in each angle iron, then used 2 U bolts horizontally, and my flagpole slides in. Works very, very well.

I got it at Heartland Flagpole on SW 9th for about $30-$35. Which is where I got the flag in the picture as well. I thought it was well worth it for the time and labor it would have taken to put one together by hand (for my lack of tools anyway).

Here are some pictures I took of a tailgate box I made. The barbecue, chairs, canopy, drink holders, games all go in the box. I made shelves, and a table that also store in box. The table is great to put all the food out and still be able to get in the box. We had the problem of having all the tailgate stuff in the back of the vehicle and had no room for coolers and people. This really helped.
I made a charcoal tailgating grill that was debuted 2 years ago at Arrowhead. It is nickel plated (same material that the toolboxes are made of), with a wood handle and standard grill inserts. It comes with 2 separate ways to set it up; a normal base that sits on the ground or a hitch assembly that allows me to hook it on to my tailgate.

I guess I could sand some of them a little but is every 2x4 really "exactly" equal? Especially the cheap studs you get to frame with that you have to pick and choose through to make sure they aren't cracked or warped.
