Has anyone found out where this supposed Texas Roadhouse will be located?

Pretty sure I'll go to that lot even less now than I did when the bowling alley was there, if that is possible, but I'm sure plenty of other people will enjoy it.

I'm guessing there or out on South Duff since Ames seems to be really overhauling that area and getting a lot of new businesses in there

I'll agree with you that I won't be going there much. BUT, if it drops the wait time down for the places I DO want to go to, I'm all for it. Besides, Ames doesn't really have much for steak houses really. We usually go to Gilbert for steaks.

I wish that they would do that.

Re: Texas Roadhouse coming to Ames!!!
My first time eating at a TR was last week in Columbia, SC. Went out to pick up my son-in-law from basic training. Went around 1pm, no wait. It was loud. Ordered a 6 oz sirloin, and it was good. Not the best I ever had, that would be the home raised, corn fed beef my dad raised. But good. Price was very good, I think my steak with two sides came to about $6.99. This being the day of graduation for 1300 soldiers, most of whom had family in town, made it busy at most restraunts. Soldiers seem to want a steak after being in training. I tried to go to the one in CF once, but when they said 90 minute wait, I walked out. Until this trip, there was no way I would ever wait 90 minutes to eat anywhere.
On this trip, family day was on Wednesday. My son-in-law could not leave base, nor could any of the other 1300 soldiers, but they could eat whereever they wanted on base. He wanted to eat at Burger King, and sadly, we ended up waiting over 90 minutes at a BK. NEVER AGAIN.

I really hope that the builders raise the land the build on by 5 or 10 feet. 20th Century got flooded out twice the last 17 years. Those that don't learn from the past are doomed to repeat it.

I like TRH, but only during slow time. Would never order a steak, for I am 100% convinced that they can't make something better than what I can do on my own grill.

Dallas = chain restaurant capital of USA
Chain restaurant food = Satan's crap
Texas Roadhouse = Satan's crap after eating Indian food the previous night
Corn fed beef is bland and tasteless like tofu but less mouth watering. God intended for cows to eat grass and they are tastier for obeying his will. -

Those that don't learn from the past are doomed to repeat it. They are raising every new commercial property at least 5 feet, so I have no doubt that TR would do the same. They'd be stupid not to. Duff has really been built up the last few years.
