Survivor-4/13/11

It's been a while since the last Survivor thread. Maybe I'm forgetting someone, but is Rob playing the best strategic season in the history of Survivor. I think so. His one mistake was getting rid of Matt (the first time) too early and that was negated by the other tribe's foolish decision to throw a challenge to vote off Russell who also happened to be one of their better challege players.

He was damn good before the merge, but his play so far after the merge has been perfect. I have to agree with David that the move to vote Matt off was straight out of a mafia movie.


Still I don't think Rob gets to the final tribal council. He would be too hard to beat. Phil on the other hand I think will be there and has no shot of winning.

I'm waiting for someone to try the blindside but Rob has an uncanny ability to sniff that out.

I'm starting to think Phil is putting on an act and maybe playing everyone.

Does everyone not see that they are going to pile all the vote outs on redemption island and then one is going to get a chance to come back to the game in the final challenge or perhaps just be inserted with the final two and get the opportunity to vote for them instead for the million dollars.
Might be a person win that hardly played the game.

There was never a challenge...there are now 3 on redemption island. Someone is getting back in the game at the very end with a chance to win.

Phil rocks by the way. He is a genius...LOL

I agree, I think it is an act. The question is that even if he reveals it was all an act to get further in the game, will people put aside the fact that they couldn't stand living with him to vote for him.

I agree with this as well. I think after the fourth person is voted out there will be a redempion island challenge that allows the winner to go to the final challenge.

It would be an interesting case if Matt won that and was selected to go to the final tribal council. On the one hand, he was obviously a dominant individual challenge player. On the other, he was obviously a terrible strategic player who had already been voted out twice.

Phillip apparently is now somehow able to string together cognitive thoughts... How funny would it be if right at the end he suddenly tells everyone that he's a genius and it was all an act? I think he's probably still been too big of a jerk, but if that happened I think I would poop myself.
