Cars made mostly with American parts
The Toyota Camry, Toyota Avalon, and Honda Accord rank higher than any Ford or GM car in terms of having their parts come from this country.

Yep, and yet some folks still wont buy a foreign car because they want to "support America".

Kind of my point. Even if the parts werent made here, a lot of these cars are assembled here by American workers.

You dont but many do. I buy Honda's. Alway have, probably always will. My CRV was assembled in Canada I think. Not sure where my Pilot was. Quite a few are done in Ohio if I remember correctly.

I assume the profits go to the same places that they go to for Ford or any other company besides GM.

I'm happy to finally live in a time where companies like Ford are making a few cars that you don't have to make excuses for. I've owned cars for the last 24 years and this is the first time I can honestly say that.

I was kind of surprised.

Even though the profits may be leaving the country, they are still providing American jobs. And even if they weren't, I'm sorry, but a car is a big expense and I'm going to buy what I think is the best, most reliable model I can get for my hard-earned dollar no matter what the nameplate says.
If I narrowed it down to two cars I felt were mostly equal and one was a Honda and one was a Ford I'd absolutely buy the American product. But it's not a primary motivator for me and never will be.
