Minor league Star or Professional backup?

Ok from a fans prospective, not the player because the money for being a backup is better than minor league generally; would you rather have one of your college players become a backup professional in sports where you would never see them or a star player in a minor league close to home so you could watch them.

I got to thinking about this because of Curtis Stinson on the IA NRG and Brad Banks from IA Barnstormers (Ya I know yuck but still local college star) VS someone like Sage Rosenfels who I would love to watch play but now is just a trade backup you never see.

I know as a backup you could see playing time (aka Senaca) but not unless you earn it.

I'm not trying to be difficult, it comes naturally....

    Re: Minor league or backup?

It's nice to see these players close to home (college) but their ultimate goal is to be in the pros and if it is as a backup that's the way it is.
    Oh, hai there
