My fiancee had one of these when we first met. It seemed like she had a different problem every day with it mechanically, which made it unreliable. I know that doesn't mean they are all that way. That's my experience with them. Make sure you let us know what you decide to go with.

If you are looking for something fun to drive, has all wheel drive and something that can transport dogs, this might be somthing to look for. used ones are not that bad.

Nice Cayenne. Never drove or rode in one but they seem very nice.

I have an Infiniti FX35 and love it. Runs the same motor and chasis/setup for the most part as the G35 and the Nissan 350's, is AWD, has good ground clearance but yet not to high, and is sporty and fun. I am a car/bike guy and love modifying everything, so this was a good vehicle to fit my need for something sporty, but yet having something practical.

if you are in CR ever, you can take mine out for a test drive......sadly it is going up for sale shortly. The Mrs. is going back to school for the next couple of years and I getting her a "more college" friendly car. I just leased her a new car last fall, so i am running out of garage space (4 cars for 2 people does not make a lot of sense).

I just got a Highlander Hybrid. Plenty of room for dog and kids but 28 mpg. Plus it has enough get-up-and-go to keep you happy.

    Re: Car Decision

I did test drive an Equinox this evening, very nice vehicles, however they are selling like hotcakes so there's not much of a deal to be had. One interesting item they said was that it's much more difficult to get financing on used vehicles now, that they shifted from 50/50 new/used sales to 75/25 and banks often refuse and say try new. I don't know beyond what their guy said and who knows if he was being factual, but through all of it he was pretty straight forward so I don't disbelieve it.
I don't do signatures. Blondes, brunettes, and red heads are a different story.
