Underrated? Absolutely. Great? That might be a bit of a stretch. Very good movie definitely.

A movie that I did not know about until someone mentioned it on CF is Boondock Saints. Excellent movie. I'm sure the people of CF know about this movie more than the general public because 20-30 year old guys are the target demopgraphic, but still I think it is underrated in the general public.

I don't know if it truly is underrated or not. I never did hear anything about it when it came out, so I have no idea what the critics thought. I just happened to catch it one night flipping through channels. It's another Sam Rockwell movie: "Moon"

    The Hudsucker Proxy

IMO, the best Coen bros. movie of them all, and nobody has ever heard of it. Probably one of my favorite movies of all time.

It's amazing how much Lacey Chabert looked like JLH's character from Can't hardly Wait. Definitely hotter than JLH.

One of my favorite movies that a lot of people have not heard of is The Insider with Russell Crowe and Al Pacino, 1999.

[QUOTE=Frak;2248367]Can't mention Christian Slater without "True Romance", one of the most underrated movies of all time...although it does have a little bit of a cult following. Some bad language in there...watch out kids!

    Re: Underrated movies

I just saw one that was kind of unique and different. Anyone seen "Fetching Cody?" It's an independent, Canadian film. Kind of a quirky movie, but I enjoyed it. It's about two street kids dabbling in drugs and prostitution who are in love with each other. Then the girl goes into a coma and the guy uses his aging homeless friend's time machine, a discarded, ratty recliner with Christmas lights on it, to go back in time to see how she got into the mess she's in and "fix it."

Indie films are bad enough. But an independent, Canadian film?!?!?!?
