The parents have pretty much blown all the family's money going around preaching the end of times and the kids, who by the way, think their parents are nuts, are close to graduating high school and don't even have any college money saved up. Hell, the mom says in the article her kids aren't coming with them if the **** goes down.

When the guy comes out and says that it will hit at 6pm local time starting at the International date line and progressing westward, that pretty much was the icing on the cake.
