Where's the stuff for JFK? That would be a hard sell for me. Just can't see how the back of JFK's skull can be blown away if he was only shot by Oswald.

On Big Bang Theory they shot a laser at one of the moon reflectors and it came back. Case closed.

Seriously though there is plenty of evidence, anyone that still thinks we didn't land on the moon is an idiot.

Never seen this specific documentary? Or you had never heard of the 'Moon Landing was a Hoax' conspiracy theory before?

Either way, everything that conspiracy theorists have pushed as evidence has been debunked.

I saw Buzz Aldrin speak at TU Delft while I was studying abroad in 2007. He was fantastic to listen to. If only I could have been near to see him take on this guy in 2008:

There are several mirrors that were placed on the Moon so astronomers could very accurately measure the distance between the Earth and Moon. The robot technology we have today was in its infancy back in 1969 and the very early seventies, so roving probes like Mars Sojourner probably would have more expensive than the manned missions. How, then, did those mirrors get there? By astronauts placing them on the Moon's surface during the Apollo lunar missions. Don't forget about, IIRC, a Chinese space probe flyby that photographed the actual landing site of Apollo 14 with all the equipment still in place after the astronauts lifted off for Earth some thirty plus years before. The existence of these mirrors on the Moon, and the photograph from the Chinese space probe is more than ample evidence that men actually walked there. The conspiracy theorists are all full of what lies about the feed lot about the lunar landings; they all happened for real.

I'm trying to figure out exactly where the line was drawn. In other words, which NASA missions were real, and which ones were faked? Were the Mercury missions real or faked? Were the Gemini missions real or faked? Were the first few Apollo missions real or faked? For the conspiracy to hold water, you would have to conclude that ALL of NASA's missions were faked, back to and including Alan Shepard's sub-orbital flight.

Then, there are the witnesses, all 2 million of them. NASA must have designed one HELL of an air-deliverable hallucinogen. That is the only way they could have made millions of people think they witnessed repeated launches of the massive Saturn V rockets.

Talk to any rocket scientist, and the overwhelming majority of the difficulty of something like this is designing the heavy-lift rocket. From there, the rest is easy. Now, unless as I said NASA dosed millions of people with an air-deliverable drug, then the Saturn V launches were real. But if most of the difficulty of getting to the moon was real, why fake the rest?

The conspiracy relies on so much looniness, it really makes me genuinely doubt the intellectual capacity of anyone who actually believes this crap.

On April 22, Murphy and his team sent pulses of laser light from the 3.5 meter telescope at the Apache Point Observatory in New Mexico, zeroing in on the target coordinates provided by Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter. A laser retroreflector on Lunokhod 1 intercepted the pulses and sent a clear signal back to Earth.

OK, the Soviet Russians beat us to the punch -- again. To the best of my memory, there weren't any equivalent NASA projects at that time, the agency was almost totally focused on the manned lunar project. The Voyager missions were the only unmanned projects going on at that time, and they didn't launch until 1977, two years after Apollo closed down. NASA did not have unmanned rovers during the Apollo missions.

In general I think all conspiracy believers are crazy, but anyone who believes the moon landings were fake is an idiot of the first order. Things like the fact that a moved flag will flutter more in a vacuum than it will on earth are maybe not intuitive on the surface but when you think more about it makes sense. I think experiments have shown the conspiracy nuts are wrong on every point they make and yet are so incredibly stupid they still believe it. If the astronauts never left earth orbit, like the guy in the OP's video said, I wonder why the Russians never mentioned that no transmissions were actually coming from the moon. Seems like sort of thing they would have mentioned.
