Re: Planking
It's not my cup of Tea for sure. And I really don't find it all that entertaining, but why do people get so worked up over what other people do in their spare time? OK, a few morons have gotten killed doing it. That probably pales in comparison to hunting accidents, ATV accidents, motorcycle accidents, etc. Hell, it's probably a lot safer than football. So who gives a **** if some people want to lay flat in odd places and have their picture taken? (I'm not directing this at anyone here, as much as the outcry I've heard about this on the news here in Chicago. It was a main story for 3 days!) Anyone know what's going on with the reactors in Japan? I care a little more about that than I do about someone lying on a bench.

Re: Planking
The way I see it, it is just another way for people to post their picture on the internet and say "look at me"!!
They say country music speaks to the heart. Unfortunately, it has to go through your ears to get there. -
Re: Planking
With the exception of a few bad ideas, I don't really see any harm in this. I know it looks alot safer than things I did in my younger years.
And, I notice one similarity is 95% of those pics. It probably should be a rule that before anyone can enter an all you can eat buffet, that they have to pull off a 'plank' of some sort. Might be the equivalent of the "presidents patch for physical fitness" for adults. Just a thought.
Some of those are funny. I'm sure that one at the wedding is a plank, it looks like he may have fainted.
