Wow, that is really bad. We are kinda lucky here in Iowa that many of these severe tornadoes have missed us and stayed to the south this spring.
They are showing it on The Weather Channel on TV. Terrible.

Words can't describe this. Thoughts and prayers go out to everyone affected by this awful, awful tragedy. And to think I was just there less than 2 weeks ago...

I am feeling fortunate tonight. The tornado that ripped through Minneaplis started its run at Theordore Wirth Park a couple of blocks from my house. The sirens blew but the tornado had already hit and gone in Golden Valley when they blew.
Looks like the Joplin one is really bad.
I've been getting texts about Joplin from a buddy of mine in Rogers, AR. Un-freakin-believable! I've spent a lot of time in Joplin and have a lot of friends that have family living there. My heart goes out to the Joplin community.
Wow. This is just unreal. I drive through Joplin every time I go back to Iowa and I know some of the places that got hit. Seeing the damage is just...wow.
I have an aunt and uncle in Joplin. They are without power and have a few limbs down in the yard, but otherwise are okay.
I have two Aunts and an Uncle in Joplin, all are safe. My Mom got through to one of my Aunts and was telling her about how bad the damge was in Joplin. My Aunt had no idea what was going on because their power is out.Quote:
